A Very Busy Christmas!
Our theme this year is – ‘Listen, Observe, Act – In step with God’
More about that at our meeting this month. Our thanks go to Joan Atherton and Sue Parr for organising our Christmas outing at the beginning of December. Over 30 members and friends joined together at The Hawthorns for a good meal, attentive service and an excellent magician all of which provided us with a very enjoyable evening. Also, thank you for buying Mothers’ Union raffle tickets on that night. I was able to send £50 to the appeal – sadly none of us won but I know the money will be put to good use.
Our first meeting of the year will be our AGM when we can look back over 2018 at what we achieved and look forward to what we will do in 2019:
MU Annual General Meeting In Church at 7.30pm Tuesday 19th February.
As light relief from the business of the AGM please bring a long or square scarf and we will have some fun tying ourselves in knots!!
Two countries, to which we in Liverpool diocese are linked through our Wave of Prayer, are profiled in our ‘families worldwide’ magazine this time. Please read about what the members there are doing and pray for them and all their projects. A prayer for them and us:
We pray for all members worldwide. May God be with us in every part of our lives, encouraging and leading us, sheltering and strengthening us so that we may work to His praise and glory. May we have a happy, healthy and productive year.
God Bless You All...
