Celebration & Hope
In celebration of our founder Mary Sumner, there will be a service and afternoon tea at June’s church ( St Paul’s Fazackerley). This will begin at 12 noon on Saturday 4th August. Brenda, June and I are going, please consider coming along.
This year we will be finding out more about an exciting initiative ‘MULOA’, this stands for Mothers’ Union, Listens, Observes and Acts which is being rolled out to members worldwide. There will be a cake stall and the proceeds will go to the ‘Summer of Hope’ appeal. All welcome.
We will hold a ‘Wave of Prayer’ service in the Church at 12 noon, after 11am Eucharist service, on Sunday 19th August. Please try to attend. There is an article about Mothers’ Union in Rwanda on page 52 of ‘families worldwide’. Read about the many inspiring projects the members there are involved with in difficult circumstances.
There will be a ‘Summer of Hope’ Afternoon Tea on Saturday 25th August from 2pm until 4pm at 21 Firs Park Crescent, Aspull. This event is to help Lynne Tembey, our Worldwide President raise £125,000. I hope you will be able to come and contributions will be gratefully received.
