A Very Busy Christmas!
There are no branch meetings for us in November and December this year but lots of occasions when we can share our faith and fellowship and meet for worship at home and in the Diocese.
We start off December with our Christmas meal which we will share with friends from our congregation and neighbourhood on Tuesday 4th December. Photos of our lovely occasion are here at the bottom of the Website homepage!
On Thursday 6th December there is the Mothers’ Union Diocesan Carol Service at St Paul’s Fazackerley, which will be the last opportunity to hear Lynne Tembey speak to us as our Worldwide President. I have 2 tickets and room in the car so I hope that 2 of you will be able to come along. Please let me know soon if you would like to come.
The Aspull Churches Together Walkabout Nativity will take place at Aspull shops on Saturday 8th December at 10am. Please support us and bring your families along and come in good voice to sing the carols. Dress up if you like!
Carols by Candlelight, 6.30pm on Sunday 16th December gives us a chance to take time out and reflect on the amazing fact that God came to Earth as a baby- Emmanuel, God with Us and prepare ourselves for Christmas.
The Crib service on Christmas Eve at 4pm is a joyous, boisterous occasion- a church full of excited families, old and young together, taking part in the telling of the Christmas story. And of course there are services at 11pm Christmas Eve and on Christmas Day.
Members of the Dancersize and Tai Chi classes who meet in the Parish Hall are collecting Christmas gifts for Coops. If you would like to contribute please let me have items by Sunday 9th December.
We agreed not to meet in January because in the past we have had some bad weather so our next branch meeting will be our AGM on Tuesday 19th February at 7.30pm in Church.
May you have a blessed and Happy Christmas and New Year, so our next meeting will be in February.
God Bless You All...
